If You're dealing with intermittent starting problems on Your Honda CR-V the most likely culprit is going to be either a bad connection or bad ground wires that are connected to Your starter. If this is the situation for You then it's probably best to just go ahead and replace the entire wiring harness from the starter to the engine. This will cost between $15 and $25 if You do the job on Your own or between $200 and $300 if You want to take it in to a shop. If this doesn't fix the issue then You're going to need to replace the entire starter.

A bad connection/ground wire on the starter is a common cause for a honda crv to have a intermittent starting problem.
