Let's go ahead and unpack what the P2101 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means on Your Chevrolet TrailBlazer. When Your engine control module (ECM) detects an abnormal situation in Your throttle actuator control (TAC), it'll illuminate the check engine light (CEL) and You'll find this DTC with a scanner or other ODB-II tool. So that leads to the obvious question, but, what's a TAC Well, the throttle actuator control motor just controls the throttle electronically; these systems are also called "drive-by-wire". When You hit the accelerator pedal on a vehicle like Your Trailblazer, that sends a signal to the TAC motor to open and close the throttle plate. In a nutshell, it controls how much air enters the engine when You've got Your foot on the pedal. It's physically attached to the intake manifold using three or four bolts sealed with a gasket. So, what's actually causing the fault Could be the TAC motor failing, the sensor in the pedal failing, the actual throttle position sensor being faulty, or an open or short in the actuator circuit. This is really one You ought bring in to the dealer to have them look at.

P2101 is an obd-ii generic code for the engine control module (ecm) detecting that the throttle actuator control (tac) has gone out of the range of the circuit allowing the tac motor to detect an open circuit.

@Javier B. So how do I remedy this? I've taken it to mechanics twice in a year and all they do is replace the actuator. I need a better solution than spending $300 every six months. Lol
