The 2007, 2008 and 2012 Wranglers in particular are known to be some of the poorest iterations of the SUV. The 2007 Wrangler faced steering issues, airbag failures and of course, the infamous wobble, which caused the car to shift or rock from side to side occasionally. The 2008 Wrangler is largely in the same boat, as it failed to fix many of these issues that carried over from the 2007 model. As a result, many of these were recalled due to inherent faults in their design. Much like the 2007 and 2008 version, the 2012 Wrangler was also notorious for suffering from the wobble. While other issues like the airbags failing to deploy were addressed, it still didnt solve the problem behind the wobble, which is why it isnt recommended today.

According to car complaints, the worst year for the jeep wrangler is the 2012 model due to electrical problems. The 2008 and 2007 models have the highest number of complaints.
