The 2017 Chevy Impala only needs regulaR87 octane gasoline. You won't really see any benefit from going with premium so don't worry about regular not being good enough. The only thing You have to avoid is using something below 87 octane because it will hurt Your fuel efficiency and it can do damage to Your vehicle over time. If Your vehicle has a yellow fuel cap or yellow sticker by the fuel door it indicates that You may also use E85 or FlexFuel. This fuel is made from renewable resources and can contain up to 85% ethanol and the manufacturer always encourages using this option if You're capable of using it. -

The 2017 chevy impala runs on regular gasoline. It is recommended to user a higher octane fuel to receive higher performance from your vehicle.

I bought a 2017 chevy impala lt 34k miles on it. It had the yellow cap on the gas cap of the car. So I use theE85 I kept notice the car would run good, but then it would flash a warning sign on the car, saying, ""stablizerbar unstable". Not exactly what it said.. But it was something like that. I was upset. I took it back to the dealer . This was in 2019 when i purchased the car. They kept the care for four days. And lent me a 2020 Toyota corrola. I ran great. I went back got the car. It ran great. For at least one day. I ended up taking it back to the dealer, and they worked on it while i waited. 4 hour. Then took it home samething happed,on the interstate, is no fun when your car is dying out .. So i took it back to the dealer. They sent the car to another chevy dealer. Gave me another toyota corrola .I started falling in love with the Toyota. I went back to get the car. It happened again before i could get the car home. I was upset .. I went t the gas station, and put the grey colored gas , regular unleaded. And thought, "what the hell!" I got in the car and it has not stopped on me since.
