All trim levels for the 2018 Cadillac XTS will run perfectly fine on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane of 87 with the exception of the V-Sport Platinum models and they will need to run on premium fuel with an octane of 91 MINImum but 93 is preferred. These vehicles will have a fuel tank capacity of 19 US gallons putting them around average compared to other similar vehicles. The MPG rating will be 19 MPG city and 28 MPG highway which puts it slightly below average for city driving.

Tryed regular gas on my 2018 cadillac xts and it ran like a lawn mower,quickly went back to premium gas

Most of the Cadillac TXS trims use regular unleaded gas. The TXS's that do are the base trim, the Luxury, the Premium Luxury and the Platinum. The only model that is different is the 2018 Cadillac XTS V-Sport Platinum. This model is recommended to use premium unleaded gasoline.

My 2018 Cadillac XTS runs perfectly on 87 octane fuel... Very little difference in power with 91 octane fuel almost not worth for me to use higher octane $$$ for the power I get...
