This may depend on the year of your model and the engine that you have but the 2019 FIAT 500 comes with a 1.4 L 4Cylinder turbo engine which needs a high quality 87 octane regular unleaded gasoline at the MINImum. While 87 octane will work just fine in your vehicle it's really at its best when you go with a premium 91 octane fuel to get the most out of that turbo. In addition to vehicle performance, using premium is also best for your fuel economy where this model is already very good. You can get 28 mpg in the city along witH33 mpg on the highway. - Scott L.

All FIAT 500 model cars made for USA car buyers since January 2012 to December 2020 have a driver side door milage sticker Octane number of 92 which is Premium gasoline. I have 5 FIAT 500 pop vehicles since 2012 to 2017, all have the same Octane number of suggested gasoline use to have the car engine perform at its best. I suggest you follow that gas number on the passenger inside door panel of your vehicle for any model year car you purchase or you own. I use ONLY 92 premium gasoline in all my FIAT 500 cars!

The 2017 fiat 500 requires premium gasoline, which helps it achieve a 357-mile total range.
