Honda recommends using gas that haS87 octane or higher and is considered to be Top Tier Detergent Gasoline for the 2021 Honda Pilot. You should never use gas that has more than 15% ethanol, and dont use gas that has methanol in it. Finally, You should also stay away from gas that has MMT in it. Gas with detergent is preferred because it can help prevent deposits from building up in the engine and fuel system. The reason MMT shouldnt be used is because it contains manganese-based additives which can be harmful for the engine. Your car has a fuel tank capacity of 19.5 gallons and will get up to 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
