The Lexus GX460 uses unleaded gasoline only with a 91 octane rating or higher. Youll be making frequent trips to the gas station to fill its 23 gallon gas tank. The GX460S301 horsepower 4.6 liter engine is a gas guzzler, only getting around 15 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. To open the fuel door push the button with the gas pump icon, located below and to the left of the steering wheel. If the button ever fails, You can still open it by pulling the lever that is behind the lower panel on the drivers side in the rear storage area. Before fueling, turn the engine off and close all the doors and windows.

I wonder in our area Lexus GX460 engine is same engine in Landcruiser GXR but different Tuning to regular fuel so is it really required I don’t know for sure but as Long as they recommend it means better for the engine tuning

For a lexus gx 460 you need to be using a premium fuel. 91 Octane at minimum but 93 is recommended.
