The 2008 GMC Acadia uses regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Be sure to never use E85 of diesel fuel in Your Acadia because it can destroy the engine and fuel system. I recommend that You always get the highest octane rating that You can budget. A higher octane rating will burn cleaner and more completely in Your engine to help keep it cleaner for longer. There are also fuels on the market that are labeled as top tier and those have detergents in them. The detergents can help clean carbon buildup out of Your engine to help it stay clean as well.

The 2008 GMC Acadia uses regular unleaded gasoline with a posted octane rating of 87 or higher. For best performance or trailer towing, use the middle grade 89 octane unleaded gasoline. If the octane rating is less than 87, there might be an audible knocking noise when driving, commonly referred to as spark knock.
