I absolutely love how spacious and comfortable is my vehicle. Also all the features that have(GPS, rear camera, sunroof and panoramic view, etc. ) Make it the best and safest car for the entire family. Also I never have any mechanical issues with the vehicle and that itself is a plus.

I would not recommend this vehicle. I had it for 2 years and had regular maintenance done every 6 months, but one of the piston rods shot through the back of the engine and killed it. Now I am stuck with a car payment and insurance for a vehicle that does not run. Finding a new engine is not cheap. For a remanufactured engine it cost between 3500 to 4500 and a used engine is about 1900 to about 2800 depending on the mileage. The lower the miles the higher the cost.

Great reliable family vehicle
Computer issues have come up during the time I have owned the vehicle. Mostly they have been minor issues but they seem to come one after another. Otherwise I love this vehicle, it is very comfortable and fun to drive. It drives great is slick conditions, the AWD works great. I have never slipped a tire driving on snow, ice or rain covered roads. It has the backup assist that beeps when you get close to something when you back up, it has Sirius XM radio which I enjoy having. Third row seating which can comfortably seat 3 adult and 3 children passengers.

Tires are expensive and sunroof leaks if drains are not clear.
Dislike: blind spots, drains from sunroof get clogged, you cannot open the back windows without open the front window. If you do, you get a terrible thumping sound. Like: sound system. Sun roof.

It's a smooth ride, very comfortable. The liftgate opens on its own with one tap to handle. It has a rear view windshield wiper, heated seats, 2 sunroofs. It's has a 6 discs CD changer, and base system. It's perfect if you have a large family, you can take it on a vacation and save money on gas.

Best SUV I have driven in my life.
My GMC Acadia is an SUV with third row seating. I really enjoy that there is captains seats in the middle row so that my children can walk back to the back row without having to climb. It has dual moon roofs as well which is nice and a backup camera which is really useful considering I am not all that good at backing up.

GMC Acadia great family vehicle.
This vehicle has really helped our family! The third row seating has been a life saver since preparing for baby #3! It drives very smooth! Also a very safe vehicle! I was in an accident, just body work needed and we were all completely safe! The battery being kept inside the vehicle has really helped with starting in the cold. There is a bit of hesitation when changing gears from park to drive or reverse, but if you give it the extra second to kick in, everything is fine there after. Heat controls in the back are also helpful when your littles are still cold and you are sweating!

GMC Acadia the perfect family vehicle.
It is very comfortable lots of space and good on gas. My kids love the built in DVD player and monitor. I did have some issues with the automatic start but it was an easy and cheap fix and I did buy it used. Other than that I have had no issues with my GMC Acadia I love this car and it is perfect for families.

Good vehicle, but has had some complications.
This has been a good ride for my family. It is spacious and comfortable. I did have to have an engine overhaul a couple of years ago and have had trouble with sunroof leaking. Other than that it has been fine. I have had this car with two boys who play lots of sports and have really liked the seats folding down in back, but having option to carry up to six passengers.

Fully loaded fun. Everything a family needs while traveling in or out of town!
We purchased my car used; however, for it to be a 2008 in 2016, it only had 50, 000 miles. It is fully loaded, with leather seats, captain seats, DVD and TV for the kids, a sun and moonroof. It is pretty awesome feature wise; however, the shocks need to be replaced and the transmission sometimes does not shift gears and I pull over to turn the car off. Once, I sit for a moment, it drives normally.

The GMC acadia is a SUV for a large family who enjoys riding and also room.
Well we had to change steering pump and we had to recently buy brand new tires and ever since we love our submit rides wonderful. It has a 3rd row and you the children have there on temp control. We had recently traveled to Florida and spent a week it was comfortable.

Fast, consistent and reliable.
Engine could use more power. Seat is not as cushiony. It does come with a lot of features. I enjoy the car seat heater. The back camera is helpful. The car Audio system is ok. If anything it still looks a little bulky and could be a little smaller. I do not have other issues with the car.

Check known transmission issues before purchasing used.
My acadia is part of the first generation of this model, and as such, has a few issues that weren't corrected during manufacturing. While there have been a few recalls, not all of the bugs have been worked out. I experience some issues that keep me from giving it 5 stars. That said, I love the overall make of the vehicle and will consider purchasing a newer model one day.

Not exactly what I wanted.
I have always wanted an Acadia but ever since I got it I have been having issues with it. From the battery to trying to start it, water coming out inside from under the dash on passenger feet and now the wheel gets hard when I turn or park somewhere. It is an awesome vehicle space wise because I have a big family but I am not sure if I want to keep it.

Can fit about 6 passengers, has a very smooth drive, very reliable. Has ac controls in the back and has lots of space. Took it for a trip from mi to il and we were able to use the racks on top to hold perfectly for storage as well. It's a beautiful car and I love it a lot.

Perfect car for a busy, adventurous family with pets
This car is perfect it sits 8 has cup holders everywhere it has 4 AUX plugs the seats in the back you can fold all of them down or half. And if you do half you can put a gate up and it can be for dogs this car can go to the beach with ALL of your needs to bring surfboards on top or kayaks. You can take it off roading. I did not have to put a new transmission until it 9 years after I bought it. After 150,000 miles it's only had things needed to be replaced nothing too crazy just keep updating and this car will last

2008 GMC acadia has heated seats. Rear windshield wiper. CD/radio combo. The problems that I have with my vehicle is the brakes, timing chain, tire air sensor system says air is low but it is not, airbags sensor system blinks off and on saying that they need to be serviced.

A great vehicle but look out for the transmission!!
My 2008 GMC Acadia is great, the biggest problem I have had is my transmission. It has gone out twice, I do not drive crazy but the area where I live is very hilly. Other than other warranty items that have needed to be replaced, I have not had any other problems. I love my GMC Acadia. The space is awesome and the seating capacity is perfect.

Details of the 2008 Acadia.
I love my 2008 Acadia slt. Comes with led headlights so you can see better at night. Good traction even for a 2wd. Battery is located behind the passenger seat which is a little difficult if you do not know how to work the captain seats. The front seats have warmers in them. It has a back up camera and a screen radio. Has a DVD player but the DVD’s play from the radio so you cannot listen to music and watch a movie. I love my captain seats in the middle and my bench seat in the very back. Three row seating to fit more people. The trunk does not have as much space as I would like. It is a little small especially while traveling with 4 kids. Other than the small things I luv my car!

It seats 7 which is perfect for a family of 5. Trunk space could be a little bigger, however it fits us. It contains 2 sunroofs, the one in front retracts and the one near the middle seats do not. There are rollover bars to protect the glass on top. Overall a very nice vehicle.

2008 GMC Acadia is comfy but drab.
The overall performance of the 2008 GMC Acadia is actually quite good. It is both a reliable and comfortable vehicle; all of its features work properly and cohesively. The radio, air conditioning, dashboard, brakes, gas, and engine all operate rather smoothly. The only criticism that the GMC Acadia receives is that it is rather unpleasant in terms of aesthetic value. The outside appearance looks rather bulky and box like. It makes up for this with its incredible ability to fit up to six passengers within it. Operationally, the 2008 GMC Acadia works just fine. Aesthetically, it is somewhat drab. Overall, I believe that it is worth at least a looking into.

My Acadia, runs really well, never had any problems on the freeway. The AC doesn't work at the moment, but I just need to put some Freon in it, and it should be good to go. I'm not a big fan of the back windows only rolling down a quarter of the way. But all in all still a reliable and good vehicle

2008 Acadia still going strong.
The Acadia rides really well. I like the fact that I can help with team carpools and also haul quite a bit of stuff. It drives easily and hasn't given me any issues but normal wear & tear. I have over 120,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. My only wish would be to get better gas mileage. Otherwise it works really well for my family and me.

Large and versatile interior space. Great for commuting with 5-7 people as well moving many items for example moving a college student into their dorm.
The ride , size of interior space, and comfortable seating for long trips. We can seat up to 7 persons or move a large volume of items if we reduce the seating to 4 persons. We dislike the expected shorter longevity of the drivetrain when compared with Toyota vehicles.

The Acadia is sleek, sporty yet functional for a big family.
Many of the features are computer driven, so sensors are off at times, this instigates to check engine or dashboard lights to come on. The vehicle is very smooth to drive and many functions can be found on the steering wheel. The truck is very stylish yet big enough to haul all my families stuff.

A simple view from the inside of the Acadia.
The Acadia has great performance when it comes to handling in all kinds of weather. It has warning seats for when it is cold and heated mirrors also. I love my sunroof and moonroof that make it easy to see the stars if I want to just park somewhere and relax. The DVD and tv make it easy for car rides with the kids. My caption seats make it easy to get in and out of the third row. The trunk is not very big but enough to pack a small family.

This is an ideal vehicle for a medium to large size family.
When I found my Acadia I was looking for something that was stylish, had lots of room for kids and luggage and was comfortable for traveling. I always like the style of the Acadia. It was big enough for a large family but didn't look anything like a van. My Acadia has tons of room. It can fit up to 7 people. The bucket seats in the middle are awesome. My kids do not need to climb over seats to get into the back. The back seats fold down easy if I need more storage space in the back. My model is a 2008. I love my Acadia so much I do not plan to change. I plan to upgrade in 5-10 years to a newer style Acadia because I am racking up the miles on mine right now. As far as mechanical stuff; I have not really had any major problems.

The comfort is amazing for a big family.
My car is very comfortable, however the transmission light will light up occasionally and turn off on it is on. The steering wheel wears out fast and had to replace it plus constantly add steering wheel fluid. And the dashboard light for the miles and all the info turns off. It will restart when it wants too. The dealer mechanics have no answers for all this.

I like the full body design of my car.
The vehicle is okay, the driving performance is pretty good. I bought is used, therefore the are a few issues now. It kind of pull to the right a little and shakes a little when you go a certain speed. But other than that it drives okay. I am scheduled for a tune up soon, hopefully that will help with the issues.

I love the size and comfort of the interior. Even taller people can sit comfortably in the back. The exterior size is great. The third row seats fold easily to make room for passengers or cargo, the second row also folds easily in case additional space is needed.

I'm currently making payments on my acadia I've had it for 3 months it's a 2008 but I have had a lot of water leak problems first sunroof drain was clogged and leaking into car then another drain hose clogged leaking from center onto driver and passenger floor boards that also leaked into front blower motor so need to replace that now I otherwise enjoy my acadia

Very Reliable Family Vehicle
Over 177,000 miles on it so I can't really complain. Very reliable. Previous issues with some computer parts.

Lots of Storage and leg room
Has 3rd row seating, plenty of cup holders and cigarette plugs (for electronics) lots of storage compartments. Satellite radio. Plenty of legroom. Has a lot of get up and go, decent on gas mileage, but I don't do much out of town driving. I have not had any problems with mine.

Easy to clean and very comfortable to drive.
It drives good but it has got some electrical issues while I am driving random lights come on and we have had some problems with the transmission. I like it that it is comfortable for my whole family, it has leather seats and it is very easy to clean.

This car is very expensive to maintain. It uses much more gas than was stated. GMC does not care to help despite it being a lemon.
I do like the Acadia but only to an extent. It's comfortable, it has siriusxm radio and it fits a decent amount of cargo. However, since we got it 2008, we've had a lot of issues with it. The windows will often stop working, the speakers go out, it is slow to accelerate, etc. We believe these problems have to do with the fact that the workers went on strike at the time the car was being built. GMC has refused to help and it has cost an enormous amount of money to keep it in decent shape.

Love this vehicle! Not happy with the service from dealership.
This vehicle is very spacious & comfortable. 3rd row seat can fold down to expand trunk capacity. It drives nicely. We are experiencing some problems. Tire pressure sensor is not reading correctly. Rear driver side passenger window is not working properly. Radio screen is faded & sometimes doesn't work at all, it needs to be replaced. There is a stutter when accelerating at low speeds, this indicates the vehicle needs an entirely brand new transmission. The driver side door locking mechanism gets stuck. Our biggest issue with these problems is getting the dealership that sold us this vehicle to address & fix these problems in a timely fashion. As of now, it's been a month since we informed them of these problems.
