The 2018 Chevy Impala came standard with a 2.5L 4Cylinder engine but also had the option to upgrade to a 3.6L V6 engine. Both engine models have the option of running on either 5W-20 or 5W-30 motor oil but no matter which one You use it will have to be synthetic oil. The 2.5L will have a capacity of 5 US quarts while the 3.6L will have a capacity of 6 US quarts. You will need to have the oil changed out on these vehicles between every 7,500 and 10,000 miles or 12 months depending on which one happens first. The cost for takeng these in to a shop to have the oil change done will range between $110 and $140.
