The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3l & 3.8l engines use sae 5w-20 synthetic blend motor oil. The 4.0-liter engine uses sae 10w-30 synthetic blend motor oil. It is recommended to change Your oil every 7,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. Synthetic oil keeps engines cleaner. When oil travels through the engine, it picks up debris from tiny fragments of dirt and tiny slivers of metal which can damage engines. You can change the oil Yourself, just remember when You change the oil to also change out the oil filter with a new one. There are also several places like the Dodge dealership, Jiffy Lube and Firestone Auto Care that do oil changes as well.
