For the 2009 Jeep Wrangler Youll want to use SAE 5W-20 oil. If You would like to verify, You can find what kind of oil You need to use on Your filler cap. The oil capacity for the car iS5.7 liters or 6 US quarts. For 5 quarts of oil, Youll pay about $14 to $20. Changing the oil is one of the most important things You can do for the life of Your car. It is recommended that You change it every 7,500 miles or so. To check the oil, pop Your hood and find the oil dipstick on the passengers side of the engine. Pull the dipstick out (on a cold engine) and make sure the oil level is near the top of the cross hatched metal. If its much lower, You need to top it up, but never fill beyond the cross hatches.
