The capacity for the vehicle iS6 quarts with a filter for the 3.6 L V6, 8 quarts with a filter for the 6.2 L V8 and 10.5 quarts with a filter for the 7.0 L V8 engine. Chevy recommends using DEXOS SAE 5W-30 oil for the 2014 Chevy Camaro. When using the Z/28 at the track for competitive events, Mobil 1 15W-50 engine oil is recommended. SAE 0W-30 engine oil may also be used when the temperature falls below 20°F/ 29°C.
