The 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 has two 6.5" speakers in the doors and two headreSTSpeakers that are 4x6 in most of the trim levels. The LS2 Sport has a total of SRX speakers. In many of the Extended Cab models A6-speaker Bose sound system is equipped. An amplifier is paired with these speakers but not available in lower trims. All models come with a standard AM/FM seek-scan radio with XM satellite prep. An in-dash mounted single-disc or 6-disc CD player is factory installed while a cassette player is an optional add-on for some. Speed sensitive volume is also standard on most models but has to be added to the Work Truck.
