The 2014 Chevy Malibu uses dex-cool antifreeze from the factory. This is the coolant that Chevrolet or any dealership will put into the vehicle whenever they change it or top it off. If You have Your car serviced at a third party location I recommend checking with them to confirm they use this coolant before You add more. Mixing different types of coolant together can cause damage to Your cooling system. Corrosion can form when the chemicals are mixed together and that can lead to a cooling loss. If You are uncertain about the coolant that is in Your vehicle I recommend topping it off with distilled water. Adding distilled water may reduce the cooling capacity slightly but it will not harm the system at all.
