According to the manual You'll want to use DOT 3 hydraulic brake fluid in the 2010 Chevy Cobalt. If You're low on the fluid You will get a warning about it on the instrument panel. Try to replace the fluid as soon as possible after noticing this warning because You don't want to take any chances with Your brake system. Failure to do so can be a serious safety risk. A 32 oz bottle will usually only run You about $10 to $12. Just locate the reservoir on Your engine, it's easy to find as it has a black cap that should have DOT 3 printed on it. Check the MINImum and maximum levels printed on the side and just fill up to the correct amount. -
