For the 2016 Ford Fusion You can use an AQ1227 cabin air filter or You can also grab an STP CAF1908P. The former is about $15 while the latter can be in the range of $20. The cabin air filter has an important job in keeping all sorts of pollutants out of the air You breathe in Your car but over time these get clogged so it's recommended that You change the filter every 20,000 miles or so. It's a cheap bit of maintenance and if You don't want to wait until the next time You visit a dealer it's a pretty simple thing to do on Your own. The filter is located behind the glove boxAnd if You have the tools to remove the box You can easily get access to it. -

You'll find your 2016 ford fusion cabin air filter in the hvac blower motor behind your vehicle's glove box. You can replace this with part caf1908p from an auto supply store.
