The type of oil that is recommended for the 2005 Ford Focus iS5W-20 Synthetic in all temperatures. The capacity for the car iS4.5 quarts with a filter and the torque for the drain plug is 21 ft/lbs. It is better to use synthetic than conventional because synthetic contains fewer contaminants. Oil is used because it helps to keep the engine clean and running smoothly and longer. The oil for the Focus should be changed every 7,500 miles because it goes bad after a while. The cost of a change is anywhere from $20 to $30 in labor costs. If You want to change it by Yourself, some of the tools needed are oil filter wrench, 5/8 inch socket, ratchet, floor jack and jack stands.
