The 2000 Ford F-250 with A6.8 L V10 engine takeS6 quarts, with the filter included, of a semi-synthetic SAE 5W-20 engine oil. You'll need a compatible filter to go along with it and Ford recommends a Motorcraft FL-820 filter which You should be able to pick up for less than $15. When choosing an oil it may be a good idea to go for a high mileage variety. A vehicle 20 years old like this one most likely has more than 75,000 miles on it and that's when that type of oil will be show its benefits. It can work well to clear off some of the excess oil sludge that has built up over the years. -
