The oil type indicated by the manufacturer for the 2002 Ford Focus is SAE 5w-30 as specified by the factory requirements The oil capacity for the engine of the vehicle iS4 quarts or 3.7 liters and is the recommended quantity to be used when replacing the oil and oil filter for the service interval. When choosing oil for the car, make sure that it is the correct kind, but also look for the API certification seal, as this assures You that the oil is licensed for use in all Lexus vehicles. When changing the fuel, You can use traditional or synthetic oil, but know that conventional is not an efficient engine lubricant compared to synthetic, and it will need to be adjusted more often. You will have to adjust the oil every 3500 miles for traditional and You will have to make a new oil and filter every 5500 to 7000 miles for full synthetic.

Ford changed the weight to 5-20. I don’t know why, but they did and didn’t tell the consumers. Oil change centers should be currant with updates, but I don’t think so.
