The 2004 Chevy TrailBlazer uses auto trak ii transfer case fluid in the vehicle. This is used to help protect the gears and chains in Your transfer case to keep Your four wheel drive system working. I recommend checking the oil in Your transfer case each time that You change the oil in Your engine. You will want to make sure that it is filled properly and free from debris. Transfer case oil is much thicker than engine oil or transmission oil because the gears and chains need a greater lubrication as they step down the power to go to all four wheels of the vehicle. If You notice that Your vehicle is low on fluid in the transfer case You should check all the seals to make sure it is not seeping out.
