Front end noise in the 2012 Honda Pilot can come from a variety of places, so You'll first need to narrow down the "type" of noise. Since the engine is, obviously, located in the front of the vehicle, the noise can commonly be radiating from there. A noisy engine can indicate low oil, worn lifters, or low octane fuel. More commonly though, You'll be looking at either suspension noise or brake noise. Your suspension noise will usually be caused by a failing suspension component like a shock, strut, ball joint, or tie rod end. Does the sound get louder as You're going over bumps Is it more noticeable at a certain speed Brake or bearing noise is a likely candidate as well, as front wheel noise can easily be mistaken for front end noise.

A noise of the knock or clunk type can be heard above bumps from the front suspension. This can be induced by the bar links of the worn stabilizer (sway). It is normal to repair both stabilizer bar links to fix this problem.
