There are a plethora of reasons You may hear the Honda CR-V CVT making some sort of noise; what model year is Your Honda What trim Have You ever flushed Your CVT fluid or otherwise had service on it But most importantly, what sort of noise are You hearing Without this information, I'm just takeng some guesses. You should know that CVTs always have a low sort of "whine" sound as they come out of the factory. This is an expected behavior for any vehicle with this. But, You can also hear a whining type sound if a wheel bearing is starting to go bad, so if You're hearing this at the same speed all the time, You might start to suspect that. A whistling sound ... Other than Your engine being happy, could also be coolant escaping.

The whistle or noise you're making is a cvt that goes down or adjusts the scale of the pulleys. It's common for these vehicles to have that kind of noise. Some older cvts from others make sounds louder than the newer crvs.
