The 2001 Dodge Dakota3fuel pressure regulator is situated at the end of the fuel line and attaches to the car injectors. The regulator is in charge of making sure enough fuel is squirted into the engine to keep the car running. If You are having problems with it then You will notice several things going wrong. The most minor and most common is the engine mIS Firing. This however can be caused by many things, so You will need to have it checked out. You may also notice that You have a fuel leak as the line is ruptured. Finally, if too much fuel is being sprayed You will notice black smoke coming from the engine as the fuel begins to burn off.
