The 2002 Nissan Pathfinder engine has a PCV valve that will be mounted at the back of the engine on the passenger side. The PCV valve is fitted to the valve cover with a hose which leads to the engine and is held in place by a clamp. Any indicators of a defective PCV valve include poor fuel economy, higher fuel consumption, and rugged engine idleness. The valve hose may be clogged or spilled, which may be triggered by a vacuum on the intake side of the cylinder head and would not be able to notify the ECU of the sufficient amount of fuel needed for the engine. This can lead to lean or rich fuel conditions in the engine.

The pcv valve can be found under the rear, right corner of the lower intake valve in the 2002 nissan pathfinder.
