The 2003 Cadillac Escalade throttle position sensor is mounted on the throttle body on the right side of the engine under the air filter housing. The TPS sensor is used to control the air intake of the engine. It is normally positioned on the butterfly spindle/shaft so that the direction of the throttle can be controlled directly. Some of the causes for the throttle body to fail can be debris, carbon, and dirt build-up in the housing with air flow. The issue is known as coking as it blocks air to travel and creates an imbalance. The throttle position sensor for a 2003 cadillac escalade is located under the dash above the pedals.
