The type of antifreeze that is recommended for the 2003 Dodge Caravan is a MINImum solution of 50% recommended Mopar Antifreeze 5 Year/100,000 mile Formula HOAT (Hybrid Organic Additive Technol-ogy) or equivalent. Higher concentrations should be used if temperature is below 34°F or 37°C. The capacity for the van is 11.35 quarts of antifreeze. Antifreeze is used to help regulate the engine during extremely cold temperatures. The cost of it is anywhere from $11 to $16 per gallon depending on the store. To get it changed by a mechanic it would cost anywhere from $100 to $120 in labor costs and extra for parts costs. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to change it out, depending on Your experience with it.
