The blend air door on a 2003 Lincoln Aviator is located INSIDE the A/C-heater housing assembly. The blend air door is controlled by an electronic actuator. The blend door mixes the warm and cold air that gets sent to Your vents by the blower motor. The blend door is controlled by the blend door actuator, which is a small electric motor. When You adjust the desired temperature in the cabin, the blend door actuator moves the blend door to achieve the desired mix of warm and cold air. If You only get very cold or very hot air, the blend door or the actuator could have failed.
