The 2004 Honda CR-V came factory standard with A4-speed automatic transmission. This transmission is going to need to run on automatic transmission fluid type H. Honda sells their own version of this and it's up to if You want to use it or a generic brand. The initial fill will be 3.1 US quarts but it's going to need a total of 6.9 US quarts for a full fill up. If You're going to change the fluids out on Your own You'll end up spending around $40 to $50 in fluid costs but that's cheaper than the $150 You'll spend takeng it in to a shop.
