The engine control module (ECM) for the 2004 Nissan Murano is located in the passenger side glove compartment. Rather, it's located behind the glove compartment. It's pretty simple to disconnect it, once You've removed the glove box, but before You swap in a new one, You should bear in mind that You'll need to have it progRammed to use Your keys, as well as to properly synC-HRonize with the immobilizer (anti-theft) components in Your Murano. Cost wise, You can expect to pay around $180 for the part, and it's likely going to be a refurb, given the age of Your Nissan.
