The MAP sensor in a 2005 Ford 500 can be found on the intake at the throttle body. This sensor goes into the side of the intake and has wires coming out of it if You need to replace it that is what You will be looking for. The MAP sensor stands for mass air pressure and that measures the air pressure at the elevation You are driving at and in the engine. When it measures this pressure it is able to calculate the amount of air and fuel that is needed to keep the engine running. In general if You notice that Your vehicle is running rough it could be a problem with the MAP sensor not giving the ECU the right information.
