The heater control valve in a 2006 Acura MDX can be found against the firewall of the vehicle. It is on the passenger side and there are hoses that run directly do it and then those go out to the core. The heater control valve failing is a very common problem on the MDxAnd is the main reason why You will not get heat to the vehicle. It is usually about $250 to $350 to replace at a mechanic and should be done in the event that it is failing. If Your heater valve is not working the first thing to check are the hoses to it as well as the fuse, if they are all okay then it is most likely a failed valve.
