The 2006 BMW 525i does not have an oil dipstick as it is labeled a maintenance free engine and instead has a way to check the oil in the settings menu of the Drive infotainment system. To do this You will from the main menu go to the "vehicle Info" button and then find/click "Service requirements". There will be an option after You get inside of that subtype where it says "oil level" and this will show You the status indicator for the levels.
