The 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 has 215/85R16 tires which are mounted on 16 inch diameter wheels that are between 6 1/2 to 7 inches wide. When replacing the tires, position the jack in the correct spot according to the tier You are working on. Raise the Jack to just touch the bottom of the frame and then break loose the lug nuts. Now lift the truck up so the tire is off the ground and put a jack stand under the truck then remove the lug nuts the rest of the way. Remove the tire and set it out of Your way and line up the wheel studs with the rim. When putting the luggage back on make sure the tapered end is facing towards the wheel otherwise You could cause the wheel to break and tire to fall off.
