The 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 uses ATF+4 transmission fluid in the vehicle. This is a synthetic type of transmission fluid that is designed to give You exceptional wear protection for all the moving components in Your transmission. It is a good idea to check the transmission fluid in Your car every time that You change the oil. When You check the fluid You will want to make sure that it is full and free from debris. Usually debris in Your fluid will make it look reflective and sparkly and it is a sign of damage to the transmission. If You notice metal shavings in Your transmission fluid I recommend doing a full flush to clear them out before they can cause more damage to the gears.
