The fuel filter in a 2006 Honda CR-V can be found in the fuel sending unit that is located in the gas tank. It is installed on the assembly with the fuel pump and the level sensor. The filter is usually used to help clean the fuel to make sure that there is no debris in it before it enters the fuel lines and injectors. In the past manufacturers used to put the fuel filter on the lines on the bottom of the vehicle, but that was prone to leaking. If You happen to notice that You have lower than average fuel pressure then it is possible that the filter is clogged. A clogged filter will usually reduce the flow rate from the pump.
