The 2006 Hyundai Sonata33 l coolant temperature sensor is located directly behind the coolant pipe. This sensor is in charge of measuring the temperature of the coolant in the pipe. This allows it to know what temp the engine should be running at. If the sensor is not working right then You will notice that the car likes to run hot, and may even begin to overheat. If the car overheats then You run the risk of warping the head gasket. This is a very very expensive fix, so do not allow this to happen. The sensor will cost You about 300 dollars to have replaced, as opposed to the multiple thousand a head gasket will take.
