The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a mass air flow sensor that can be found in the area located between the throttle body, and the cabin air filter. It's job is to monitoring and control the amount and levels of fresh air being circulated into the vehicle and throughout the exhauSTSystem. If the air flow sensor, also called the MAF sensor, has gone bad, You will need to replace it. This can cost You a range from $33 to $98 for parts alone. If You decide to have it changed by a mechanic or service pro, You are going to need to pay between $120 and $185 for labor.

There is no MAF on a 2006Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7l (or the 3.7l). Chrysler uses the known air pipe cross section and manifold pressure to calculate an air flow. I believe this is the same for 2005-2010 Grand Cherokees.

The mass air flow sensor in a 2006 jeep grand cherokee is right of the vehicle's air cleaner housing inside the intake duct at the back of the engine compartment.
