The 2007 BMW 328i EGR valve can be found on the front right side of the intake manifold in the engine compartment. This valve will have a small spring on it and should be made of metal if You are looking for it. The EGR valve has the job of controlling the amount of exhaust gasses that reenter the engine after combustion. It can open and close to either let exhaust back into the intake manifold, or expel it to the exhaust to be cleaned by the catalytic converter before being released to the environment. If this valve starts to fail You will notice that Your car is running rough and usually there will be a check engine light letting You know it is not working.
