The starter on the 2007 Dodge Durango is on the driver's side, underneath the skid plates; it'll be visible as You're looking through the driver's side wheel well. It's best to try to access it from underneath Your Durango, so You'll want to jack up the front, put it on jacks, and then after You remove the plates, You'll have very easy access to the bolts to take it off (after You disconnect the wires from the engine harness as well). Replacement costs are going to run about $130 for a remanufactured one from a car part place like O'Reilly's. New ones, given the age of Your vehicle, are going to be costlier and harder to come by.
