Prestone 1 gallon yellow 50/50 coolant/antifreeze is used in the 2007 Dodge Nitro. Replace coolant for the engine at 100,000 miles or ten years. Over time, engine coolant loses its anticorrosive properties and lubricating ability.Your radiator coolant can cause radiator corrosion, generating rust that You do not want in Your car's radiator or engine. Signs that an immediate radiator flush is necessary include coolant leaking underneath Your car and hearing a grinding engine noise. Other signs of a sick cooling system are if You smell antifreeze or if the car overheats too easily.

Zerex g-05 is best for the nitro but I personally dont mix with whatever color is in it unless its yellow. The nitro requires hoat antifreeze and the zerex g-05 is the best option. I flush and refill mine about every 3 years.
