The 2007 Mazda CX7 starter can be found underneath the engine bay next to the driver's side next to the left bank of the cylinders. The starter is a bit difficult to get to and when removing the part You will have to remove the air filter assembly, the battery, battery tray, and the heater pipe with the water hoses connected. Make sure You will disconnect the starter wires. To loosen the heater pipe You can find the nuts behind the plastic air duct just below the turbo. The cost for the replacement starter will range from $65 to $120 depending on if its an OEM or aftermarket product.
