Mercedes recommends using Mobil oil in the 2007 Mercedes CLS550 with a SAE viscosity rating of 0W-40 or 5W-40 engine. The oil level should be inspected regularly such as once per week or every time You put gas in the tank and before going on a long trip. If You notice the oil level dropping You should have the car service to determine the cause and to have the issue remedied. The engine oil and filter should be changed every 10,000 miles or once per year at a MINImum. The CLS550 is equipped with the Mercedes-Benz maintenance system which tracks the distance driven and how long it has been since You last had an oil change and will illuminator light on the dash when an oil change is needed.
