What's the 2008 BMW 128i oil type?

For the 3.0 L 6-cylinder engine available in the 2008 BMW 128i, BMW has accepted either 5w30 or 5w40 synthetic oil and the engine has an oil capacity of 6.5 liters or 6.9 quarts.
