The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt has a speed sensor that can be found inside the anti-lock brake control module. This is also referred to as the ABS. The first thing You need to do is open the hood and prop it up securely. Now, look into the engine bay. The module will be found on the frame rail to the left, or driver's side, of the compartment. The speed sensor is located inside. If it has gone back, You will need to order a new one from any automotive parts and accessories retail location. You can expect to pay between $32 and $85 for a new part. If You have it done by a professional, it will cost an additional $30 to $124 for labor.
