The 2008 Dodge Avenger mass air flow sensor is located on the intake of Your engine at the throttle body. The sensor is a small piece of plastic that has a small wire harness connected to it. The mass air flow sensor has the job of deterMINIng the amount of air that is entering the engine. It is important because it relays this information to the ECU so that the injectors use the right amount of fuel to have an optimal detonation in the cylinders. If Your mass air flow sensor is failing then that will usually lead to the engine running rough and usually too rich. You will usually also get a check engine light when the ECU detects a problem with it.
