The 2008 Ford Edge oil pressure sensor is located above the oil fitler on the bottom side of the engine. This measures the pressure that the oil pump is pushing the oil through the engine at and will adjust it as necessary. If You notice that You have low oil pressure at Your dash that can be a sign of an oil pump problem. If You notice that the gauge is not reading anything at all then that is a sensor problem. The first thing to check is the wiring harness to the sensor to make sure that it is all okay. If that is all fine then You may need a new sensor and they are usually about $150 to replace.
