The 2008 Ford Focus freeze plugs are placed at the bottom of the engine block on the cylinder head. This components are costly to repair and they would require You to remove the engine in order to obtain access to them. There are those that are in the front and sides of the car, but they would still take a lot of effort so You have to cut down the front of the engine. The price of replacement plugs will vary from $1000 to $1500 based on the amount of work done to finish the repair job. Any of the signs of a weak plug are milky discoloration of the oil cap, overheating, white exhauSTSmoke, and leakage of the coolant. The freeze plugs are really thin metal and they will eventually rust out and leak if worn.
