The 2008 Ford Focus will have the option of using Mercon V ATF for the power steering fluid but You can also use a multivehicle power steering fluid. You will need to purchase a type that states on the bottle that it is meant for American cars. The capacity will be 1.3 US quarts so You're going to need to purchase 2 one quart bottles to fully fill it up. These will range in price between $8 and $15 per bottle so You're looking at spending between $16 and $30. The power steering fluid will need to be changed out every 30,000 to 60,000 miles.
